It was a pleasant spring day for a wedding and we arrived at The Avenue to find Val and the girls quite relaxed and very well organised. With hair and makeup already done, they were enjoying a light snack before changing into their dresses.
Then it was off to the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion in a lovely old Packard for nice ceremony overlooking the lake, followed by meeting and greeting on the balcony and some photos around the arboretum. The weather soon closed in and, though Val’s wedding attire probably wasn’t made for speed, we soon discovered how fast she could run when it started to hail. The rain and hail quickly passed and it was off to Dunrossil Drive for more fun and photos before heading to the National Museum for the reception.
After socialising over canapes, a delicious 3-course meal was served. Following the speeches and cutting of the cake, Val and Chris showed all the guests their style as they glided their way around the dancefloor, kicking off some more vivacious dancing that continued well into the night.
Congratulations Val & Chris!
